Brand Review: Western Aloha
Authenticity Meets Versatility
Western Aloha was founded out of a passion for bringing Paniolo fashion to adventurers everywhere. A Paniolo, or Hawaiian Cowboy, is known for taking part in common Hawaiian activities like surfing the waves and spending time on the beach. They also enjoy cattle ranching, rodeos, and spending time exploring Hawaii's snow-covered mountains. Based out of the Aloha State itself, Western Aloha’s authentic pakala shirts are wearable whether you are spending time on the beach, loading up on the dock, or even wrangling cattle. Made for both men and women, there's no doubt that you'll find a comfortable and genuine fit.
Handmade Sustainable Fabrics
To make the perfect Western Aloha textile, Western Aloha founders worked with a woven fabric maker from Taiwan to develop the environmentally friendly, dual fiber blend used in Western Aloha apparel. Nicknamed “Cowboy Cotton”, the material is soft yet strong as a synthetic blend.
All dresses, printed shirts, and most shirt styles are both cut and sewn in El Paso, Texas by a family of third-generation western shirt makers. The rest of the styles are woven in Taiwan, by the same makers of Western Aloha’s Cowboy Cotton. Fabrics are printed in small batches, making each shirt is one of a kind.
The Western Aloha shirt features everything a Hawaiian Cowboy could ask for. A tailored cut, industrial snaps, and shoulder yokes combined with pocket flaps, bartacks, long sleeves, and a sturdy collar provide an Aloha style shirt with the functionality of your favorite western polo. As it breaks itself in with each wear, you'll love this top a little more every time you try it on.
Western Aloha’s Women's Top Picks
Suitable for both men and women alike, Western Aloha offers stylish and functional clothing for all. Adorned with lehua flowers and real coconut buttons, this shirt can be styled just for your liking.
Western Aloha also offers a beautiful assortment of Aloha dresses. The Alenuihaha Dress embodies a glorious print of the Alenuihaha channel: one of the most dangerous stretches of water. With adjustable straps and pockets, this dress can be worn as a swimsuit cover up, or can be dressed up for a night spent walking on the pier. Shop all of Western Aloha’s womens collection, here.
