With fall in full swing, it’s ever more important to keep your skin hydrated!  Don’t sacrifice your glowing complexion to the cooler temps and conditions of the season.  It’s time to trade in a few of your summer faves for these moisturizing essentials that you’ll keep with you all autumn and winter.

For the Face...

Blue Lotus Daily Moisturizer with SPF

Power Ingredient: SPF (Homosolate)

Although you’re probably not spending nearly as much time in the sun this fall, SPF is still a vital part of your skincare routine.  Harmful UVA and UVB rays can still penetrate the skin on your short walk to your car or even when sitting inside by the window!  Grab this two-in-one daily moisturizer with SPF from Purlisse to hydrate and protect your skin at the same time.  It’s a win-win deal!

Cold-Pressed Jojoba Oil

Power Ingredient: Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Oil)

Natural Jojoba Oil is a great source of hydration for the skin. It is not comedogenic — meaning it doesn't clog pores — and naturally regulates the skin’s oil production.  Sourced from small organic farms in the delta of the Nile in Egypt, this Jojoba oil from Katari Beauty is one of our faves!

Perfection Vital Cream

Power Ingredient: Vitamin E

This plant-based, vegan moisturizer from MalibuC goes on velvety smooth and leaves behind a luminous complexion. Packed with super-ingredients like Vitamin B5 and E, your skin is bound to feel supple and hydrated!

For the Hair...

Black Castor Oil

Power Ingredient: Ricinus Communis Seed Oil (Black Castor Oil)

Castor Oil has been used as a hair strengthening treatment for hundreds of years.  It can also be used on eyelashes and brows to promote growth and hydration. The Castor Oil works with the follicles, reduces hair loss, and allows for luscious locks.  Trust me on this one — your scalp will thank you!

Miracle Repair Hair Reconstructor

Power Ingredient: Panthenol (Vitamin B5)

This deep conditioning hair mask from MalibuC helps strengthen, hydrate, and detoxify the scalp all at once.  It is gluten-free and 100% vegan. Use once a week for best results.

Hair Climax Mask

Power Ingredients: Argan Oil

Who doesn't love the feeling of their hair after treating themselves to a luxurious hair mask? This healing mask uses a blend of virgin oils to add shine and moisture to the scalp. Say goodbye to dull roots, and hello to a hydrated head of hair!

For the Body...

Coconut Oil + Coffee Silk Body Butter

Power Ingredient: Coconut Oil

Talk about a power duo! This body butter from Purliss uses Coconut Oil to soften and nourish the skin, alongside Coffee to invigorate and awaken.  Plus, did I mention that it smells amazing?

Daily Moisturizer (with SPF)

Power Ingredient: Marine Algae

This gentle daily moisturizer from Little Urchin can be used all over the body.  Just like we need SPF on our faces, we need it on our body too! Made with Cucumber, Avocado, Aloe Vera, and Marine Algae, this moisturizer is promised to be unlike any other you already have in your collection!

NutriNails Nail Balm

Power Ingredient: Lactic Acid

There’s nothing worse than dry nails and cuticles.  Combat weak and dehydrated nails with ingredients like Lactic Acid, Argan Oil, and Vitamin E that are all found in the NutriNails Nail Balm from Dermatus.

Other Ways to Keep Your Skin Hydrated…

1. Don't over-cleanse.  If you're noticing dry or tight skin, cut down the cleansing. Use a gentle cleanser in the morning and before you go to bed.  If cleansing twice a day is too much for your skin, simply replace it with toner when you wake up.

2. Stay away from hot water.  Just like heat, hot water drys out the skin.  Consider turning the temp down a little the next time you shower or cleanse your face.

3. Drink plenty of water.  The more water you drink, the better the chance you have at it getting absorbed into the skin. This is the BEST way to hydrate your complexion!

4.Get enough sleep.  Tired and stressed-out skin tends to either produce too much oil or not enough.  Implementing a consistent sleep schedule will help your skin regulate its moisture.

5. Limit the exfoliation.  When you over-exfoliate (both physically or chemically), the skin does not have enough time to repair itself, resulting in dry and irritated patches.  Limit your exfoliating to once a week and always steer clear of cleansers with exfoliating beads!
